Tourism industry is a typical service industry. Therefore, the theory and method of tourism marketing is different from that of manufacturing industry marketing. However, in the real teaching process, some teachers are still using the marketing theory of manufacturing industry to explain the phenomena of tourism industry. On this basis the article argues that the teaching contents of tourism marketing should be reconstructed according to the theory framework of service marketing. At the same time, the knowledge of tourism destination marketing should be included in teaching contents. In additional, from the point of view of teaching methods, problem-based learning, tourism incident report, and tourism market research can help students better master what they have learned and enhance their practical skills.
