摘要
Due to the importance for network operators of dynamically control networks (in contrast to what has been deployed until now), this paper proposes a technical solution based on an SDN architecture. With the introduction of an end-to-end (E2E) SDN architecture, it is possible to support an E2E service from access to backbone networks. This paper firstly presents an optimum end-to-end network architecture, which covers both network domains. A transport API is introduced (Control Orchestration Protocol protocol) and it is used for joint network orchestration between network controllers, in order to provide these E2E services. Finally, this paper presents a multi-partner demonstration, which involves two different labs, located in Telefonica and Trinity College of Dublin facilities. This demonstration is used to validate this work.
