Bandwidth enhancement of a patch antenna of very high-permittivity material

摘要
The impedance bandwidth enhancement of a patch antenna printed on a very high-permittivity substrate is studied experimentally at 1.8 GHz. The results show that an I-slot on the patch can improve the bandwidth to 3.2%, and a II-slot on the patch can improve it to 4.2%. The effects of the slots on the radiation patterns and efficiency of the patch antenna are also investigated. (C) John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
