Integration of dynamic routing and intersection control in intelligent transportation system

摘要
Integration of algorithms for multi-destination routing and real-time intersection control and their relation to the ITS Architecture are presented in this paper. The simplified version of the National ITS Architecture is given, retaining the relevant components. A decentralized dynamic routing strategy, and a real-time intersection control are derived Their integration can be fit into the ITS Architecture. A simulation of rush hour at the Ohio State University (OSU) is shown is shown, which illustrates the claim that integration can improve traffic.
