摘要
One of the challenges in virtual team research is the development of adaptation approaches to assist teams' transformation from face-to-face teams to virtual teams. In literature, approaches that separate the technical and social aspects of virtual teams have been identified as problematic because they overlook the importance of establishing a balance between these two aspects. To establish a foundation for this research problem, this paper reviews and analyzes the Socio-Technical Systems approach, and several structuration and adaptation theories. In the light of findings, some recommendations will be presented by introducing the socio-technical balance framework approach to enhance the effectiveness.
