An integrated prefetching and caching scheme for mobile web caching system

摘要：
Web caching and prefetching play an important role in improving the performance of Web access in wireless environment. In this paper, we present a compact set of algorithms for integrating web caching and prefetching for wireless local area network, including sequence mining based prediction algorithm, context-aware prefetching algorithm and profit-driven caching replacement policy, and then implement them in Web caching system OnceEasyCache. We also evaluate this integrated scheme by conducting the trace-based experiments on the OnceEasyCache system.
