Transmission characteristics in liquid-crystal-infiltrated photonic crystal fibers

Optical spectra were measured by varying the temperature of liquid-crystal-infiltrated photonic crystal fibers. We obtained a transmission of several wavelengths attributable to the photonic bandgap effect in conventional wavelength bands (1530-1560nm). The transmission peak at a specific wavelength enabled the achievement of more than 200 by varying the temperature of the liquid-crystal -infiltrated photonic crystal fiber at 1550 nm band.
