摘要：
This paper puts forward a product data management framework for supporting collaborative design, the framework can support distributed collaborative design by providing project configuration management, product structure management, workflow and process management and sharing database management. The paper also discusses how to build PDMS based on Web by combining web technique with PDM technique. We realize the framework based on commercial PDM software - SmarTeam by using VC++ and SmartBasic and test it in automotive steering machine collaborative design environment.
