Anti-dumping Negotiations under the WTO and FANs

This article provides an overview of the history of the anti-dumping negotiations under the Doha Development Agenda (DDA) from the broader perspective of the multilateral negotiations under the World Trade Organization (WTO). it also provides an analysis if the evolution of an informal group of fifteen WTO Members, the so-called 'Friends of Anti-Dumping Negotiations' (FANs). The article thereby emphasizes the importance of the rule-making function of the WTO by demonstrating the dynamism of the long history of-the negotiations as it coincides with the changes in the economic situation, the development of dispute settlement jurisprudence, and the proliferation of regional trade agreements.
