Study on the Aging Population in Chengdu and the Improvement of the Pension Service Model

Chengdu, which is known as "the land of abundance", is one of the economic, technological, cultural and educational centers- in the southwest China. Chengd's unique geographical advantages and the rapid economic and social development make the aging population become an urgent issue. Chengdu is facing the surging of "silver wave", and urgently needs to explore the service system matching the increasingly serious needs of pension service. This paper analyzes the characteristics of the aging population in Chengdu, the present situation and existing problems of the old-age service model in Chengdu, and puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for improving the old-age service model in Chengdu.
