摘要
This study examined the role of perceived racism in academic, job, general, public, and health settings, respectively, in the relationships between two forms of Latino masculinity ideologies (i.e., machismo and caballerismo) and gender role conflict. The sample included 148 Latino men recruited through the use of electronic mail. Perceived racism in job settings was found to moderate the relationship between machismo ideology and gender role conflict. Results also indicated that perceived racism in academic settings, perceived racism in job settings, and perceived racism in general settings moderated the relationship between caballerismo ideology and gender role conflict. The implications of the role of perceived racism in the gendered lives of Latino men for clinical practice and future research are provided.
