Microstructures and mechanical properties of rapidly solidified high strength Al-Ni based alloys

摘要
Several different rapidly solidified high strength Al-Ni based alloys with tensile strengths greater than 800 MPa and large Young's moduli have been developed. These alloys include AI-Ni-M (M = Zr, Ti), Al-Ni-RE (RE = Y, Ce), Al-Ni-RE-M, Al-Ni-Cu-M and Al-Ni-Cu-M-RE alloys. Some samples have tensile strengths as high as 1000 MPa. The mechanical properties, phase structures and microstructures of these alloys are presented. The function of elements such as Zr, Ti, Cu.
