Research on relationship between technological foresight and firm's competitiveness

Each government of countries has cast the very emphases upon technological foresight because of its function as a tool for the development of science and technology (S&T). But there are still some doubts that it is only a tool used by the government to plan S&T. Are there some relationships with own interests of firms? In other words, is it possible for firms to win the competitiveness in new technology competition through catching the causality and trends of S&T? By researching the definition of technological foresight, the conclusion has arrived at some relationship of technological foresight and firms' technology competitiveness. Comsider the practice of firms, the process of firm' s foresight and some implications are recommended.
