摘要：
In the 2008 Past Presidents' Award paper, the author investigates the impact of bus rapid transit (BRT) on land development decisions. The paper identifies data sources and analysis tools and provides guidance on conducting future surveys of stakeholders in the land development process. Included are findings from surveys of developers in Ottawa, Canada and guidelines to help public agencies assess the potential land development benefits of BRT At the time the research was conducted, such formal surveys of developers had not been conducted elsewhere.
