摘要
Virtualization gains lower energy consumption, higher fault tolerance, and high security level which is the fundamental technology for cloud computing. In this paper, we investigate the performance and scalability of two open source virtualization platforms: Xen and VMware, we use benchmarks like C-ray, IOzone, Pov-ray, Smallpt, Postmark, SQLite, John The Ripper to evaluate the performance of these platforms. Results show that Xen is better than VMware.
