摘要
This paper describes an Intelligent Tutoring System for spatial or geographical information, focusing on domain knowledge and generated explanation, There are different types of knowledge should be considered. One concerned with definitions and description, and the other for rules and procedure with control mechanism. Artificial Intelligence program require that a teaching expert define the knowledge to be used along with the control structures that define the way an interpreter will traverse that knowledge. Knowledge representation refers to how such knowledge is stored by a system to allow it to model the domain, human thinking, learning processes, and tutoring strategies. There are two ways that an intelligent tutoring system (ITS) can present domain knowledge to a student: reciting "canned text" and generating explanation directly from the domain knowledge. Generating explanations offer several advantages. First systems that generate explanations do not have to store canned text. Moreover, as the domain knowledge changes, generated explanations are always consistent with the knowledge; in contrast, canned explanations must be altered. The tutor can use generated explanations in tasks like evaluation and diagnosis.
