摘要
In this paper, a model-based stator inter-turn short-circuit fault detection in three-phase induction motor is proposed. A modified mathematical model of the faulty induction motor based on stator fluxes is derived. This is believed to be a novel contribution, as researchers haven't used stator flux based induction motor model for inter-turn short-circuit fault detection. State estimation of induction motor is carried out using conventional non-linear Kalman observer. Residual-sequence obtained from the non-linear Kalman observer is used as fault identifier. Dynamic computations are carried on 10-hp induction motor using MATLAB R2021a software. The presented simulation results validate the efficacy of the proposed fault detection strategy.
