摘要
Based on the results of a two-span, three-story frame with specially shaped columns, the hysteretic behavior was discussed under cyclic loading. And the hysteretic curve of frame was determined. And other seismic behavior such as energy dissipation was also investigated. The hysteretic curve of the frame with a form of spindle-shaped shows good hysteretic behavior and energy dissipation ability; the Load-deformation curve of frame shows good energy dissipation ability. Thus, the results of test show that the frame with specially shaped columns has high earthquake-resistant behavior, which can provide evidence for design and construction of frame with specially shaped columns.
