3-D Numerical Simulation on Transient Characteristics of a Multistage Centrifugal Pump during Starting Period

摘要
The transient characteristics and flow field of a multistage centrifugal pump during its starting period are investigated based on pump's basic equations for impeller acceleration, unsteady impressible Navier-stokes equations and RNG k- epsilon turbulence model, combining with the structural features of a modified multistage centrifugal pump D280-43x4. The numerical simulation results indicate that the pump's efficiency approximates to its nominal one at the design point and the evaluated starting performance agrees well with a multistage centrifugal pump's.
