Comparison and analysis between test and digital simulation of very fast transient overvoltage (VFTO)

摘要
The disconnector of rated voltage 500kV in GIS is tested for making and breaking bus-charging current according to IEC-1259, measured waves and restriking peaks as well as average values of very fast transient overvoltage (VFTO) are given. Digital simulations for tested circuit are proceed and an accuracy of digital simulation is verified with comparison results between test and digital simulation. The transient electric field of holding spacer at load side is also calculated with digital simulation voltage wave. The potential distribution figure and electric field strength distribution figure are given in this paper.
