Discussion on the application of phase-sensitive amplifiers in pulses compression

摘要：
A new compressor that combines comb-like fiber chain with phase-sensitive amplifiers is proposed in this paper. Theory and simulation analyses finds that the application of Phase-Sensitive Amplifiers (PSA) in comb-like compressor can compensate pulse broadening induced by Group-Velocity Dispersion (GVD) and Self-Phase Modulation (SPM). This kind of compressor can provide a better quality of pulse compression than what the comb-like compressor do.
