Coupling flutter and buffeting response of long-span bridges in time-domain simulation

摘要
With the consideration of both structural and aerodynamic nonlinearities, a nonlinear flutter and buffeting analysis approach of long-span bridges in time domain is presented. The algorithm of Deodatis' spectral representation method is properly modified for simulating the wind velocity field of long-span bridges. Nonlinear time-domain flutter and buffeting analysis is performed on the Runyang suspension bridge with a main span of 1490m over Yangtze River in China, and the effects of the structural and aerodynamic nonlinearities on flutter and buffeting responses are respectively investigated. The analytical results of aerodynamic responses are compared with the wind tunnel experimental ones.
