摘要：

The 1957 essay is the first of a long reflection by the poet Franco Fortini (1917-1994) on poetic meter and rhythm. Considering the relations between lyric and society, it attempts to characterize the new metrical sensibility resulting from the coexistence between the traditional metric system and free verse.
