摘要
Quality, time and cost are generally considered as project success determinants. They are not mutually independent but interrelated. Better project quality demands more time, longer project implies more costs. Several sources indicate that companies do not pay a same level of attention to these three aspects. The paper underlines that these aspects should not be only somehow coincidentally interrelated but that they should be equally managed. The paper therefore concentrates on a tool, namely earned value, which can be useful for making project management more efficient. The effect should not leads only to cost cutting but to improving the maturity of the project management as a whole. This improving endeavour grows up from managers convincing that project management is considered among the most fundamental change of business requirements in the near future.
