摘要
Of the most important directions in the development of illumination engineering, the main ones are energy-efficient lighting systems and the creation of a comfortable lighting medium for maintaining human health. To allow the wide introduction of intelligent lighting, it is necessary to estimate the visibility that can be obtained on the basis of a multichannel model of the eye, using its color spatial-frequency response. This paper formulates the problem of synthesizing a mirror surface, using a given visibility level determined by the brightness (illuminance) distribution and the spectral composition of the radiation. To design optical systems-in particular, specular reflectors-an integrated concept has been developed for designing lighting devices, taking into account the visibility level. A technique is presented, along with an example of a design with a discharge radiation source. (C) 2010 Optical Society of America.
