摘要
With the rapid development of globalization, the competition for the talents is increasingly fierce in the world. Students' critical thinking skills are highlighted in higher education in western countries, especially in United States. At present, the reform of college English teaching has entered a new stage in China. Issues related to critical thinking skills and foreign language teaching have become the focus of research among the experts. However, English teaching in China is always exam-oriented ignoring the development of critical thinking skills. This paper aims at cultivating critical thinking skills of college students and endeavors to construct a development mode of critical thinking skills in order to find an effective way to improve critical thinking skills in college English teaching.
