摘要
The most windows based systems leave the task of windows layout management on the user. This tends to decrease the productivity of the user. This paper presents a Genetic Algorithm (GA) based approach for window layout optimisation A new shadow-based algorithm is proposed to remove the overlap from the windows and compact the layout. The usefulness of the approach is illustrated in this paper with the samples of the generated layouts, characteristic charts and possible future enhancements.
