The Impacts and Adjustments in the Heritage Process of Traditional Sports of Chinese Ethnic Minorities

This paper sets the traditional sports of ethnic minorities in China in the background of social development, and points out various factors and constraints that have hindered the development and the transmission of traditional sports of ethnic minorities in China. According to the article, the process of "modernization" of society has affected the outlook of the national minorities, and simultaneously has limited the existing space of traditional sports events. Furthermore, floating of population in ethnic minority areas has blocked the channel of inheritance. Besides, lack of the effective inheritance carrier and the participation group influenced the effective inheritance of national minority sports. Moreover, local residents in ethnic minority areas fail to attach importance to the traditional sports and conduct the irrational exploitation which has affected their development and transmission. Taking all these into consideration, the author put forward proposals and the countermeasures in terms of adjustment of resident ideological concepts, construction of the new tourism development pattern and effective action to deal with the modern sports' impact and so on, in order to provide theoretical supports for the development of traditional sports of Chinese ethnic minorities.
