摘要
Agriculture is still dominated by conventional plough and bull, while richer farmers employ tractors to plough both deep and wide. With the advent of the Internet of Things (IoTs) along with cheap sensors, one can engage in precision agriculture, wherein water and nutrients can be controlled over the field using drip water irrigation. This paper details the design of a Precision Agricultural Information Management Systems (PAMIS). The sensor network obtains dynamic information about soil and the use of Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) and emulation of Glasshouse can significantly aid precision agriculture. Cloud Computing services and long-term analysis and synthesis of large/Big datasets also facilitate precision agriculture. However, there are issues relating to privacy, security and legal, because of the use of Information Systems for precision agriculture. Further, readiness for entomological preventive studies can also be attempted, besides predicting harvest potentials within 3-4 weeks of seedling growth. The performance of the PAMIS Cloud has been evaluated using parametric modelling technique and the results indicate that PAMIS Cloud system can successfully enhance the performance of the scientists and technical people involved in this field; the details are also provided in this paper.
