Modelling and dynamic simulation of electromechanical systems of equipment in the rolling mill field

摘要
In plant construction the use of simulation methods for the dimensioning of machines has become of more and more significance in the past few years. A comprehensive investigation comprising electrical and mechanical subsystems provides optimum preconditions for simulating a drive system. This requires an equal representation of both the electrical and mechanical system components in one model. The use of a uniform simulation program offers the possibility to combine the mechanical modelling with the electrical necessities. The procedure for simulation-aided design with ragard to torsional vibrations will be described more closely in this paper. Herein rolling mill drive systems shall be used as representative drive systems.
