摘要：

This paper examines the diplomatic strategies developed by Rome towards the Numidian leaders in order to obtain political and military benefits. The objectives of the gifts made to Syphax and Masinissa during the Second Punic War will be analyzed first. Secondly, the typology and simbology of the presents given to the kings and their staff of collaborators will be studied. Finally, Masinisa's cereal and martial contributions will be examined as part of his alliance relationship with Rome.
