Reflections on fairness: continuing the progression of justice research and practice

In this response to Cropanzano ct al.'s paper, the author discusses the: following issues: (1) threshold effects in making justice judgments, (2) the importance of including measures of needs in justice research, (3) three cognitive biases that occur in justice judgments (i.e., self-enhancement, common perspective, and the martyr), and 14) the importance of qualitative research in furthering The justice literature. Finally, the author suggests that justice researchers must work; harder to bring their theories and results into the mainstream of organizational Science. (C) 2001 Academic Press.
