摘要
In Latvia several methods for defining the development level are elaborated and used to identify the development indicators of small rural districts, districts and regions, and regions under the support. However, the measures carried out up to now have not led to radical improvements. Although, according to the EUROSTAT information, Latvia is a country with one of the highest annual development growth rates. Besides it is to be taken into consideration that the development has been achieved mainly on the account of a more rapid development of Riga and its vicinity. A steady distribution of population all over the country is one of the guarantees for its measured development; therefore, in the frame of the research task to study the use of logistics infrastructure elements and basic principles in providing of a steady distribution of population, an inquiry among the students of the Business High School Turiba and the Economic and Culture High School in Riga was carried out. Evaluating the information, a certain interconnection between the chosen region, and the presence and quality of logistics infrastructure elements in it may be seen in the result of the inquiry on the subject of the region most preferred by the students.
