Preparation and performance of novel Ni-doped iron oxychloride with high singlet oxygen generation

摘要
Singlet oxygen with lower oxide electrode potential but higher selective oxidation ability towards specific organic contaminants has been paid a great deal of attention. An efficient system with high singlet oxygen generation (over 4 times more O-1(2) produced at pH 6.5) was first constructed from Ni-doped FeOCl (0.2 g L-1) and PDS (0.5 mM) under irradiation by visible light at pH 10 for the rapid degradation of phenol (20 mg L-1) in 5 min. Under neutral and acidic conditions, a similar effect was achieved with greater reagent dosage (0.8 g L-1 catalyst, 2 mM PDS) and reaction time (30 min), confirming the wide pH range applied from 3 to 10. These results exhibited a simple system with high efficiency for the degradation of organic contaminants and its promising prospects for the degradation of organic contaminants.
