摘要：
The article presents the important issues of the negative effects of ambient (outdoor) air pollution on human health. The focus is on 4 common pollutants: particulate matter, ground-level ozone, nitrogen oxides and sulphur dioxide, and their significant health effects mainly on human respiratory and cardiovascular system even at levels once considered safe.
