Solubilities of o-acetylsalicylic, 4-aminosalicylic, 3,5-dinitrosalicylic and p-toluic acid, and magnesium-DL-aspartate in water were determined in the temperature range (278 to 345) K. The apparent molar enthalpies of solution at T= 298.15K were derived from these solubilities, and the resulting values are Delta(sol)H(m)(o-C9H8O4, m = 0.0226mol kg(-1))= 22.9kJ mol(-1), Delta(sol)H(m)(4-C7H7O3N, m = 0.00758 mol kg(-1))= 26.1kJ mol(-1), Delta(sol)H(m)(3,5-C7H4O7N2, m = 0.0633 mol kg(-1)) = 28.7 kJ mol(-1) Delta(sol)H(m)(p-C8H8O2, m = 0.00258 mol kg(-1)) = 24.0 kJ mol(-1) and Delta(sol)H(m)(DL-C8H12O3N2Mg, m = 0.1485 mol kg(-1))= 11.7 kJ mol(-1).
