Carving a capstone: Senior design at the University of Delaware

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Delaware, is organizing a new type of senior design undergraduate course to address and integrate broader issue in the profession. The design project is based on an actual, current, local and multidiciplinary project. The course incorporates the disciplines of civil/site, transportation, environmental process, and structural in one project. The features of the course include teamwork, multiple disciplines, multiple roles, and a real project, with a persistent emphasis on communication and professional issue.
