摘要
This paper examines the effect of incorporating multi-period network augmentation into the survivable network design process. By examining the optimal network design over multiple time periods, networks can be made more efficient and robust to externalities that may affect the network design parameters. This study used demand-wise shared protection, to examined the effect and impact on topology augmentation of using multiple time horizons in the planning process using the time value of money as the motivation to delay capacity additions or span additions to a network.
