摘要
Polymer science has a long history and a wide range of performance, applications, and characteristics. Due to the versatile nature, there is huge demand for fluorescent polymers over past several decades, herein the main key point is fluorescent polyesters. Aromatic polyester structures are indispensable component to demonstrate astonishing mechanical and thermal properties. Furthermore, due to their extraordinary properties and abilities, their applications include a multipurpose role in optical materials, analytical chemistry, aerospace and automobiles, consumer products, textiles, coatings, analytical chemistry, biological detect projects, agricultural appliances, navy materials, digital printing technology, medicine, and advanced structural composites. As a result, this review updates the state of the art in the field of fluorescent polyesters while also evaluating their thermal, fluorescence, and mechanical properties. The focus of this article is on the current trends and challenges in the field of brightening polyesters, as well as some insights for future research directions.
