Integrated study on earthquake digital simulation and emergency response decision

Earthquake emergency response decision should be based on digital simulation results scientifically rather than on human experiences as often occur in small towns in China. Based on analyzing the drawbacks in the current pattern of earthquake emergency, this paper illustrates the concept of disaster space. GIS technology is applied as a platform to develop the Earthquake Digital Simulation & Emergency Response Decision System. It is proved by the practice that the system could play an active role in emergency decision of earthquake disaster-reduction.
