摘要：
The article analyzes the contemporary definitions of the term "cluster" ne general structure of the cluster mechanism of the socio-economic development of a region is defined, it unites state bodies, local authorities, enterprises, universities. The role and functions of clusters are studied as the optimal organizational forms of the territorial development as well as the criteria of their efficiency and key mechanisms of the cluster elements interaction.
