Synthesis, Structure and Optical Properties of a D-π-A Type 2,2′:6′,2"-Terpyridine Derivative

摘要
A D-pi-A type 2,2': 6',2 ''-terpyridine derivative was synthesized by Wittig reaction using 2,2': 6',2 ''-terpyridine as an acceptor (A) and 3-formyl-N-hexylcarbazole as a donor (D), its structure was characterized by means of MS, FTIR, (1)H NMR, (13)C NMR and single crystal X-ray diffraction. For the D-pi-A type terpyridine derivative, its linear absorption, single- and two-photon properties were measured and the results showed that the target compound has good fluorescence with the fluorescence quantum yield (Phi) up to 0.46 and the maximal two-photon absorption cross section (delta) up to 120 GM.
