摘要
Wideband meta-devices have attained profound significance due to their key role in wireless communication systems. So, in this communication, an ultra-broadband and wide-angle polarization conversion metasurface is investigated, which performs linear polarization. The unit cell of the proposed device is an anisotropic H-shaped resonator, mounted over a dielectric substrate of FR-4. The proposed structure efficiently transforms linearly polarized waves into its orthogonal component in reflection mode, which is evident from numerical simulation results. Cross-polarization conversion is achieved in the frequency band of 15.63-29 GHz with a polarization conversion ratio is (PCR > 0.9). The surface current distribution plots are also studied to describe the mechanism of polarization conversion phenemenon. Ultrawideband polarization conversion is obtained with the help of strong electromagnetic resonance coupling of upper and lower layers of designed device. Furthermore, the proposed structure is quite stable up to 40 degrees. This kind of metasurface can be effective in satellite communication, radar cross section reduction, and navigation systems.
