摘要
Monte Carlo-based radiotherapy simulation has been used to do a high accurate calculation of dose distributions in a patient or an optimization of the beam delivery system. Geant4 toolkit has come to be utilized to build a Monte Carlo simulator for that purpose. We have developed PTSim (Particle Therapy System) that is a simulator of particle therapy simulation based on Geant4. gMocren which is a volume visualize has been also developed together with PTSim. We described a gMocren development involving DICOM-RT extension support for radiotherapy simulation. Especially, DICOM-RT Structure Set and DICOM-RT Dose are introduced to gMocren. DICOM-RT Structure Set and DICOM-RT Dose are utilized to visualize RoIs and dose distributions, respectively. Those indicators are available for validation or comparison of results between a Monte Carlo simulation and a analytical simulation such as a radiotherapy treatment planning system.
