摘要
This paper describes the connection of instrument transformers (both inductive and electronic) and the measuring equipment used to analyze their signals. It summarizes the current situation and explains how the instrument transformers should be designed in order to have optimum design and performance when connected to microprocessor-based equipment. Practical hints for such optimization are explained and examples are given. This paper also compares widely used protection schemes using classical inductive CTs/VTs with modern solutions offered by electronic CTs or VTs with extended performance.
