Calculation of the size of the blast cavity by underground nuclear explosions

摘要
The application of the computational formulas obtained for ordinary chemical explosives to determine the size of the Blast cavity produced by atl underground nuclear explosion is assessed. It is shown that good agreement between the computational and actual data can be obtained by using as the volume mass of the explosives the values characteristic for metallic uranium or plutonium. 3 figures, 1 table, 7 references.
