Successful synthesis of distinct dendritic unimolecular initiators suitable for topologically attractive star polymers

摘要：
Unimolecular initiator end-capped and anchored dendrimers with an initiator functionality of up to 48 for G4 dendrimer were prepared quantitatively in a single-step reaction. Polymerization of styrene using these initiators yielded multi arm star polymers with mol. weight (M-w) in the order of 10(5) g mol(-1) and polydispersity of arm in the range of 1.01 to 1.09.
