Measurement of Lambda(0)-(Lambda(0))over-bar mass difference

摘要
We measure the masses of of Lambda(0) and <(Lambda(0))over bar> hyperons using a very clean sample of 30844 hyperons produced in 230 GeV/c pi(-)-Cu interactions and decaying in a silicon vertex detector. Systematic errors were estimated by using K-s(0) decays registered in the same vertex detector. For the average Lambda(0)/<(Lambda(0))over bar> mass we obtain (1115.766 +/- 0.006 +/- 0.042) MeV/c(2). The mass difference M(Lambda) - M(<(Lambda)over bar>) = (0.015 +/- 0.013) MeV/c(2) averaged with the E766 result of (-0.012 +/- 0.010) MeV/c(2) yields (-0.002 +/- 0.008) MeV/c(2). This confirms the CPT invariance within the accuracy of 7 x 10(-6).
