Integrated information system

In this paper, a new view of the creation of the hypertext application is presented. The supposed system includes two separated subsystems - hypertext and database system. This information system integrates hypertext and database functions. it means, that the problem how to use and manage different hypertext and database data structures has to be solved. On the one side, database tables consist of the records of the same length and they have a rigid structure. On the other side, hypertext documents consist of the structures of various lengths. The outcome of the proposed integration system is the implementation that provides database functions (creating and filling a table, viewing and modifying data, sorting the table and selecting some records according to conditions) as well as hypertext functions (activation of the hypertext links and displaying the history). The connection between both subsystems is accomplished by links leading from the table records into the hypertext nodes. The above mentioned integrated system can be suitable in the case when a big amount of data has to be stored and the more comfortable and faster access to appropriate information is necessary.
