摘要
The article examines the understanding of the causes of the outbreak of the First World War, characteristic of various stages of international post-war politics. The authors come to the conclusion that the specifics of the reality constructed by politicians, historians and sociologists were diverse and relied primarily on the analysis of the sentiments characteristic of the ruling circles of the states participating in the world conflict. The authors of the article focus on the search for new complex contexts of the First World War, which make it possible to expand the understanding of its various realities. The possibilities of the periodical press in forming judgments and assessments in the field of the most pressing problems, events and facts in the period under review, as well as the role of military censorship are analyzed.
